Gary Scholars

ECIER Foundation partnered with the City of Gary to award scholarships to high school graduates in Gary, Indiana. Majestic Star Casino provided a donation for scholarships, Purdue University Northwest, Indiana University Northwest and IVY Tech Community College partnered to provide matching scholarships.

An Advisory Counsel for the Gary Scholars program selects from a potential pool of candidates that are Seniors that attend High School and reside in Gary, Indiana that have been accepted for admission at an accredited two year or four year college or technical school.

The City of Gary and ECIER Foundation believes that empowering today’s youth with a good education is essential.
