MUNSTER — Chris White, publisher of The Times Media Group, shared his story with the future innovators and entrepreneurs in the Educate Communicate Innovate Entrepreneurs Relationship Foundation.
“This was an excellent opportunity for our youth,” said Chareice White, founder and chairman of the board of ECIER Foundation. “The students were able to spend time with Chris White, Bob Heisse and Dan, to learn about the publishing business and take a tour of the facility.”
“We are empowering our youth with monthly workshops including a wide range of local entrepreneurs and innovators in Northwest Indiana. The students are being exposed to various types of activities and opportunities,” said White. “Each time they experience something new, we hope it motivates them to broaden their horizon.”
In October the foundation hosted its annual Jubilation fundraiser honoring Breast Cancer survivors in Northwest Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. ECIER students were ambassadors for the event that sold out with 100 women, dining at 10 various locations.
The ECIER Foundation was created to educate, empower and equip youths to realize their potential and achieve their dreams. During the program, students are required to attend innovative entrepreneurial workshops focused on developing their academic, creative and leadership skills.
